Our Dental Team

Michael C. Byars DDS

Dr. Byars earned a BA in biology from William Jewell College in 1995. He went on to earn his DDS from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2003. Afterwards, Dr. Byars completed a year-long residency in general dentistry, with a focus on cosmetic and implant procedures. He recently started his private practice to serve families in the Kansas City area.

Dr. Byars is a proud member of the:

By offering complete dental care utilizing modern dental technology, Dr. Byars provides his patients a comfortable experience that results in a beautiful smile. He loves developing long-lasting relationships with patients and changing their smiles to improve their self-confidence and quality of life.

Outside of the office, Dr. Byars spends time with his wife and family, who live in the Kansas City area. Dr. Byars prides himself on learning the latest techniques and dental concepts through many continuing education courses. Dr. Byars strives to be involved in his community through many community outreach programs such as the TeamSmile dental outreach and the YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day.

Business Administrator - Amanda

Amanda is the first person you will meet when you walk through the doors at Dr. Byars’ office.   Her goal is to help provide you with the best dental experience ever!  It is very important to Amanda to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk through the door.  Once you call the office, you will see that she is truly a people person!    Amanda is the person to talk to about anything from how long is this going to take, to what can I expect from today's appointment to any financial arrangements or insurance that you may have.

Amanda brings 14 years of experience from dental assisting, insurance coordinating and practice management.   She loves our new office, modern technology and working with a great team. A native of Liberty, Missouri, Amanda finds great joy in seeing a patient's life change because of a healthy, beautiful smile.

Dental Assistant - Melissa

Melissa has worked with Dr. Byars since 2005 and she truly enjoys being a part of his growing practice. Melissa has 10 years of dental assisting experience and she takes the opportunity to continually grow and learn in her dental career through various continuing education courses. She has recently started the expanded functions dental assisting curriculum. Melissa especially enjoys assisting with children during pediatric dental procedures. Her patients appreciate her positive attitude and gentle touch, and she relishes the chance to help people obtain the smile of their dreams. Whether assisting with children or adults, Melissa always greets our guests with a smile and makes them feel comfortable and relaxed.

Registered Dental Hygienist: Veronica

Veronica has been a Dental Hygienist for 7 years. In 2001 she has earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene at the University Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. She is very excited to be part of Dr. Byars dental team. Veronica is very driven to educate the patients about their oral health care needs. She educates patients about their home care, restorative work and periodontal needs. Veronica is bilingual and can speak Spanish for those who need a translator. Outside of work she likes to spend her time with her family and friends. She also enjoys scrap booking, working out and participates in 5k runs. One of her goals is to run a half marathon.
